Tofu Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of Tofu  (squeeze out water)
  • 3 tablespoons of Olive oil  
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper 
  • ½ teaspoon of Chat masala
  • ½ cup of Green Cabbage
  • 1 Jalapeno  
  • 1/2 cup of chopped Cilantro 
  •  ½ cup of Mint 
  • 1-2 teaspoon of Lime juice 
  • 4 Hard Shell Tacos wheat or corn 
  • 1 tablespoon of Soy sauce 
  • Parchment paper

Cooking time: 1 hour

Servings: 2-3

Preparation

Chopped the tofu in 2 inch cubes. Marinate the tofu with cayenne pepper,chaat masala,soy sauce and salt for at least 30 minute.Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and butter and bake for 35 minutes until it becomes light golden brown. 

In a food processor add cabbage, jalapeno, parsley, mint, salt and lime juice. Blend until it becomes a finely chopped shape. In a fry pan heat up the tacos and add baked tofu and this mixture and serve it. At the end garnish with cilantro leaves and lime.
